Opening of the UN Sustainable Development Summit

More than 100 heads of state and government are confirmed to attend the UN Sustainable Development Summit for the adoption of an ambitious, bold and universal sustainable development agenda to end poverty and promote prosperity by 2030, while addressing the environment. His Holiness Pope Francis will address the summit prior to the opening ceremony.

From global conversation to global action—making the SDGs work

UN Development Group (UNDG)

UNAIDS will participate in the UN Development Group side event celebrating the adoption of the new universal and transformative development agenda. The event will showcase efforts already under way in a number of Member States to advance the new global agenda at the national level and will be an opportunity for the UN development system to present its joint vision and approach to providing support for countries to implement and track progress.
